Our Standards… |

As with any of our clients, we aim to provide you with an exceptional body piercing service. We pride ourselves on our high standards and constantly strive to ensure that we are using the most up-to-date procedures. The piercing needles that we use are ‘single use’ and are disposed of immediately after use using an accredited waste disposal service suitable for the disposal of sharps and contaminated waste. The equipment that we use is sterilised before and after use along with all work surfaces - a requirement of the environmental department of health. All machinery used is serviced annually, and is checked weekly to ensure that it is in perfect working order and performs to the required standard. Jewellery is stored in sterilisation fluid at all times. |

At That Nail & Beauty Place, it is our policy that any piercing performed on an under 16 year old has to have written and confirmed consent of the parent/guardian. UK legislation states that it is legal to pierce any person of any age as long as they understand the implications of having a piercing, e.g. cleanliness, possible scaring and social implications. The only exception in this area is that female clients have to be over 18 years of age in order to have a ‘nipple piercing’. We have male and female body staff available to perform the procedure – we want you to feel as comfortable as possible so you decide!! |

Jewellery... |

We only pierce using titanium – the most recommended jewellery for any piercing! The nickel content in titanium is the lowest of all metals used in piercing, which makes it the safest – the risk of infection or allergies is kept to a minimum. Titanium can vary in shape, colour, length and thickness. After your piercing has healed, you may choose to replace with any metal of your choice, be it gold, silver, surgical steel or even plastic. |

Service Details… |

We ask every client who wishes to have a piercing to complete a consent form – this is for the clients benefit and also our own. We ask such questions as medical history, allergies, medications being taken, and basic knowledge and understanding of the required piercing etc. We then discuss the consent form, complete the piercing and then advise you of the aftercare procedure.
It is important to understand that body piercing is often described as a form of temporary body art – The beauty of having a piercing is that you can remove it at any time. Allowing the wound to heal will only leave a very minimal scar, often not even noticeable.

Depending on which piercing you decide to have, we can make you feel more comfortable throughout the procedure using anaesthetic – Please ask for details.
